APP Policy Online Courses


REGISTRATION TERMS AND PAYMENT METHODS 

On Italian Wine Academy website, students will be able to sign up for the desired online course: Level 1 or 2. The days and times of the course and the exam are made known at the registration.

Course enrollment is restricted to students aged 18 or older, in compliance with the applicable regulations prohibiting the sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages to minors (Article 14-ter of Law No. 125/2001, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 14/2017).

There are 3 different payment methods available:

  • bank transfer;
  • credit card;
  • PayPal (payment in 3 installments).

It is possible to agree with the Italian Wine Academy Team a bank transfer installments payment.

The costs of the courses, Resit Exams and events organized by the Academy are published on the site.

CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION

Participation in the course is confirmed and reserved once the registration fee is paid:

  • Credit card (immediate after registration);
  • PayPal (immediate after registration);
  • Bank transfer (not immediate: registration will be confirmed once payment has been received).

EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS – Only for WSET Level 2 online courses

Following the registration to the course and the receipt of payment, the learning material will be delivered to the shipping address indicated by the student or delivered in person to our offices.

PARTICIPATION IN THE EXAM

The WSET Global regulation establishes that the order of the exam must be made 10 working days* before taking the exam. After this deadline it will no longer be possible to sign up or cancel your registration for the exam.

For those who enroll in the WSET Level 1 course less than 10 working days* from the course date, the exam will take place on a different day and not at the end of the lesson hours.

IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COURSE

If the student is unable to participate in the course, he or she must communicate this via email to the address info@italianwineacademy.org.

If the communication is sent more than 20 days (including holidays) before the start of the course, the student may request to postpone their participation to a later date or to take part in the in-person course by paying the difference in costs between the two fees.

From the 20th day before the start of the course, it will not be possible to request to postpone your participation or take part in an in-person course.

For Level 1 and 2 online WSET courses, there is no form of fee reimbursement.

FAILURE TO PASS OR TAKE THE EXAM

Students who do not pass the exam or who do not appear will have to register at a later date and pay a registration fee. For information on dates, costs and payment method, contact the Academy at the email address info@italianwineacademy.org.

PARTICIPATION IN COURSES AND EXAMS OF STUDENTS OUTSIDE OUR APP

Italian Wine Academy gladly welcomes new students who intend to continue and/or complete their studies started in another APP. The student will be asked for the following data:

  • name and surname;
  • date of birth;
  • tax code/P. VAT;
  • Country of origin;
  • Address;
  • City;
  • Province;
  • Postcode;
  • Telephone number;
  • E-mail address;
  • If known: Candidate Number (recognition number provided by WSET Global following the completion of an exam);
  • Certificate of participation in the course from a different APP.

IN CASE OF SPECIAL NEEDS

For all students who present certified difficulties and/or disabilities, which determine an obstacle in passing the exam generally administered to students, they can request an adaptation of the test. The request must be made in due time (before the exam is ordered from WSET Global or 15 working days* before the exam date) to info@italianwineacademy.org.

We recommend that you make your situation known during the registration phase to help you immediately face the entire course of study peacefully.

DATA AND IMAGE PROCESSING

During the registration phase, the student will be asked for the following data (for invoicing and shipping of educational materials):

    • name and surname;
    • date of birth;
    • tax code/P. VAT;
    • Country of origin;
    • Address;
    • City;
    • Province;
    • Postcode;
    • Telephone number;
    • Email address.

If necessary, the student can add company billing information:

    • Company name;
    • Company VAT number;
    • SDI;
    • Address;
    • City;
    • Village;
    • Postcode;
    • Telephone number;
    • E-mail address.

Once enrolled in the course, the student consents to the publication of their image on the social media channels, website, and digital and/or printed promotional materials of Italian Wine Academy. The student’s image, information, and personal data will be processed in compliance with the current regulations on personal data protection, pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 101/2018.
